Hello, I am very sorry that you are not satisfied, and I hope you can give us some suggestions. This is useful. We have upgraded the fan once.

I was not here for about 10 month =)

I tried different same-sized fans - but it looks like that there are not good fan control program on this device.

As result, I decided to bought PWM controller: PWM from ALI
I bought two - 3-pin and 4-pin 5V/12V PWM controllers (Type B-2 and Type D-2 from link above).

Also I bought 4-pin fan before for my prevoius tests and made my new tests with PWM on it.

In my case 4-pin PWM controller was buggy.
But with 3-pin PWM and 4-pin fan I made fan control much smarter and less loud than it was before.

If somebody interested I can provide instruction of how to connect PWM to this device.

I made my fan control much smarter - but, for me, it still remains loud - it less loud than it was before but it still loud for me in comparation to bigger fans.

I decided to made another test.
I replaced small fan on big fan =)
And I got what I want !
It becomed much better - there are no any loud sounds from fan now because bigger fans are more silent than smaller fans.
Also I got totally less temperature on my both SSDs (M2 and SATA) and CPU - it became one of the decisive factors for me.
I decided to stop on current solution.

Currently I'm using temporary solution like to this =):

It is fan from this device:

I already ordered 2 x 12cm dual-ball fans (with other stuff like to "Anti Vibration Mount Silicone Screws" and so on) for my final solution.

Router Fan (I ordered 12025 Dual Ball):

Another 5V Dual Ball fan with USB connector:

This one device for fan speed control:

In my final solution I'll use one fan only, but I decided to play with two also)

The other one stuff which I'll replace also - it is power adapter - it emits a squeaky sound audible on the general background.

My final solution:

I removed internal fan and replaced the vacated space with few radiators, like to:

Two external 12 cm x 12 cm 5v fans with 2 voltage controllers, voltage set to 3v:

SATA SSD temperature:

I'm using it as home mini server for BSC and ETH fast nodes.

It may be that I'll remove bottom or top fan after some stress testing.

Hi,
I have a GK3V with the same fan problem.
The system is quiet, but when CPU reaches 65°, fan starts at full speed for a few seconds, then stops. A few seconds later, fan starts again a full speed.
This is very annoying when watching a movie! The fan should be always running at a lower speed to keep the cpu cool...
Can you provide a solution, or an EC upgrade to change this behaviour?
Thanks!

I recently purchased a Chatreey TK11-A0 Mini-PC which has the same issues. I started searching the web for a solution and found this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWBVtXP ... L&index=26

I followed it and it made a great difference and lowered the fan noise significantly on my TH11-A0, the fan is now more stable when working. The video was made for laptops but works also for mini pc. I hope this will help some of you guys.

People, why you dont fix this Problem yourself??

I have buy a Noctua NF-A4x10 5V Fan and kicked out the Original Fan. Now my AK1 is silent. To Test I have run the CPU with full load for 5 Min and dont get the Temperature over 64 degree.

Solved
I can only second what firefox said. I have replaced the original fan with a Noctua NF-A4x10 5V (thanks for the advice!) and changed the thermal paste and the problem is solved. The replacement procedure is very easy with the OmniJoin adapter supplied with the fan.

Hello admin, I purchased an AK1 J4025 and found that it is constantly thermally and PL1 throttled. It looks like the BIOS/EC hard-coded a temperature limit of 75 degrees C, and the CPU is throttled when the temperature reaches this value, which is very conservative (PROCHOT should be 91 degrees C). In addition, the power limit for PL1, PL2, and turbo time limit also seem hard-coded. I tried to use ThrottleStop to increase PL1 beyond the default 10W, but although the software reported that the change was effective, the CPU still throttles to 10 W after running at PL2 for a while. Is there a BIOS/EC update or configuration to lift the temperature limit and/or the power limit? Thank you!
