AM06PRO microphone not working

Post by sasasasa »

Hello all,

Just bought AM06PRO and so far very happy with it.

Anyway, the embedded microphone is seen by the system, but it is simply nor responding as if there is a hardware issue. I am using Ubuntu 22 LTS.

(I am trying to post a picture but to no success)

Image

Can anyone else confirm this problem also? :D I saw that there are different board layouts around the microphone depending on the version.

Many thanks for your help!

Most likely, Ubuntu doesn't have the correct driver set up for the Microphone. Are you able to see what driver it is trying to use?

You have to add a picture with the Attachment option under the message body while composing a topic or reply.

Capture.PNG

Conversely, you can upload the picture to a hosting site, like imgur, then paste the link to it in the topic or reply.

Hi, I have noticed that my previous replies were deleted for some reason. My apologies if I broke the rules.

Where could I find what chipset is on the motherboard? I would start from there and try to install Realtek drivers for that chipset.

Sincerely,
Sasa

You didn't break any rules. This has happened in a number of places on this forum. I contacted the admin about it and was informed that, while moving to a new server, something 'glitched' and removed not only some replies to topics, but some topics altogether.

They're aware of the problem.

As for the chipset, I haven't a clue. Hopefully the admin, barry or another member who knows can answer.

Many thanks, anyway finally to upload a picture how the system sees the microphone.

As you can see it sees it as Unitek Y-247A. Will try to find out a bit more about it but so far no solution.

So, lets dig into the problem:

lspci -v
Lspci is a command on Unix-like operating systems that print a "list" of detailed information about all buses and PCI devices in the system.
