The fan is constant on mine too. When it first starts up it is the loudest but then settles into a slower speed. It is much louder than the other two models that I have. I suspect this may have to do with the temperature of the processor. I'll have to do a comparison to see if it does run hotter than others. This does retract from its functionality. It can be distracting.

it should be 2.5
i could not verify the full bandwidth because my switches are only 1G
