Windows 11 setup gets stuck at PIN Code screen

When I started up my Mini PC for the first time, I did not connect it to the internet as is stated on the sticker on top of the machine.
When I reached the screen after having registered my finger print where I was asked to enter a PIN for the device, I had no possibility of entering a PIN, the screen did not provide any GUI for entering a PIN. Neither were there any buttons to cancel this step in the setup or go one step back, I could not proceed the setup!

So I shut off the machine and restarted it only to land in exactly the same screen from which I could not go forward.

Then I cut off the power connection (a thunderbolt 4 cable connected to a Caldigit TS4 dock), then connected a LAN cable to the device in order to allow it to have internet access and restarted the machine, which completely restarted the Windows 11 setup process. And now I could enter a pin and proceed.

This is a bit fiddly, I think.
