AM06 Pro driver

Hello Gabe I was wondering if this System Installation AM06 Pro system file 20230805 and the Drivers file would work to retore my AO06 5700U back to factory settings. The drivers file downloaded OK the System Installation file seems to be Unobtanium. Anyway, I see where it's made for 5600U Mini PC's so I just want to be careful about any possible restoration.

Good question. I know it's for both the R5 5600U and R5 5625U versions, but I'm not sure about the R7 5700U version. If it didn't work for your R7 5700U version, it may very well not be.

Thanks and I didn't get an opportunity to restore the system as the restore file wouldn't download for me "too many user attempts" or something like that. It would be good to see an ISO available for download in customer support or an indication that a normal download from Microsoft would be OK. The sales blerp says the OS is optimized for each series so it's got me kinda hesitant to use the Microsoft ISO.

Ah. Signing into your Google account, if you have one, normally gets around that. Google seems to limit the number of times a file can be downloaded from Google Drive in a given time period by those not using a Google account.

It would be good to see an ISO available for download in customer support or an indication that a normal download from Microsoft would be OK. The sales blerp says the OS is optimized for each series so it's got me kinda hesitant to use the Microsoft ISO.

They do tailor the system to the units, though I've always used the ISO from Microsoft when reinstalling the system. I know it's 'best' to use the system files they have here, but I've never had a problem using the ISO. In fact, with each model I buy, I first set it up and then go online and sign into my Microsoft account in order to ensure that its Windows Activation is logged on both my Microsoft account and Microsoft's Activation servers. I then save the driver folder from the unit to a USB flash drive, as I usually need a few drivers after a reinstall, and I then perform a clean install using installation media created with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool. I don't necessarily need to do this, but it's what I've always done.

In fact, the only time I've ever used any of the Windows systems available here is when I restored my S1, and that was in an attempt to get its LCD panel working properly after a clean install of Windows 11 messed it up.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not recommending that you or anyone else do what I do, but rather just stating what I've always done.

After verification, AM06 Pro (R5 5600U) (R5 5625U) (R7 5700U) systems are all universal.

Looks like it's the same files for all three version of the AM06 Pro, including the R7 5700U.

Fastest ever installation:
Create a .bat file in the same location as the drivers zip file is extracted
for /f %%i in ('dir /b /s *.inf') do pnputil.exe -i -a %%i

Run a shell as administrator, cd to the drivers directory and run the bat file.
This is useable with any unpacked collection of drivers, I've used it for a long time when installing Dell driver packs (onto Dell computers ofcourse).
