Try to restore the default value of bios; press F3 on the BIOS interface to restore the default value, then press F4 to save and restart.

The hard disk format needs to be NTFS or FAT32 to be recognized in the bios.

I suspect the same as actiftech - make sure the drive is bootable with the current BIOS/UEFI setting. You also need it plugged in to the computer before it boots, as BIOS detects drives only at power-on.
What kind of drive are you using?

The hard disk needs to be a UEFI boot disk to be recognized in the bios.
