AMR5 shuts down with no warning.

My brother got an AMR5 for my nephew on Black Friday for his birthday in January. Fast forward two months, my brother is setting up the machine, and it shuts off without warning. I'm more tech savvy than my brother, so he gave it to me to look at. The only time the machine seems stable is when it's in Silent mode-- If I switch it to Auto or Performance, it stays on for maybe 5 minutes before turning off.

Because he bought it back in November, does he have any recourse? The box says something about a warranty, but I can't find any information on it. I opened the case, thinking that maybe it was an overheating issue, but now I'm led to believe that something in the knob is sending a surge or blip that's just shutting it down. Any help is appreciated!

I'd install something like Core Temp to see if it might still be heat related, though normally when a CPU gets too hot its automatic thermal protection kicks in, throttling it down so it can cool.

I've not had this problem with mine, and I'm not familiar with others experiencing this, so I'm not really sure what the problem could be.

For reference, you can also contact after sales support at support@kamrui.com and see if they can help narrow down what's going on. Even though it's 'kamrui.com', the support is for all of the brands they sell, which includes Ace Magician. Being only two months since purchase, it would definitely still be under warranty, as it has a 12 month warranty.
