Let me tell you that upgrading is possible, but you need a little hands-on ability. Know how to remove the old memory and solder the new one.
I mean, if there is no direct plug and unplug.
The company is still considering whether to cancel the upgrade space of the 2.5-inch hard drive recently. I have some research results here, and I will share them if you are interested.

Glad dragonpoo and Gabe answered your questions for me. :D :D

Hi. Yes, any research would be interesting I’m sure. My ram is socketed, not soldered (see first set of pics) so I just wondered how much the system board could address - but it now seems that there are a few variations out there,…

As far as I know, AK1 pro can't upgrade the RAM.

ezc,

Just out of curiosity, does the box that unit came in have a label on it that says 'AK1 Pro'? Also, on the bottom unit, and on the bottom of the unit with the add on drive carriage removed, does it indicate it's an AK1 Pro?

I know it's getting outside the scope of this forum thread, but I'm curious about the "cancel 2.5-inch drive" research. Honestly, I would love a mini PC that can take and power a full 3.5 inch drive, and I'd use that as my primary Plex server, instead of the current larger desktop I have. Smaller drives are limited on storage capacity, so for me, there's less use for something smaller.

If people are interested, I seem to have to publish the survey results. If you look carefully, it is pretty interesting, even if the number of samples is insufficient. I also want to do more forum research activities in the future, and I always need your support.

Below is the EU market:

And this is from the US market:

I suspect your screenshots are reversed - the "US market" ones show Euros, and the "EU market" ones show Dollars? Still, it's interesting what kind of responses you got; some from every grouping but most people don't look at a mini PC as a high-cost device. Since I don't remember the survey coming out, I probably didn't participate, but my feelings are probably similar to the masses.

ezc,

I'm stumped. You got a neat AK1 Pro, that's for sure.
