I may be speaking out of place and absolutely as an amateur. I was able to install a 1TB WD_Black NVMe SSD in my AK1Pro. I had issues with installing Windows 11 Pro but was able to overcome the concern by following the steps in the below linked post.

I was able to get the Windows product key from the registry.

Hope this helps anyone wishing to upgrade the SATA to NVMe

AK1 Pro currently does not support NVME.

I am very interested in your "feat" about the 1TB WD Black M.2 with the AK1 Pro.
In my case, I want to use the M.2 slot to plug a PCIe 4X riser for specific purpose and make a study case (plug an high-end PCIe audio card on it):
Between those whose said this device had just a physical NGFF with M Key edge support but no NVMe (only AHCI host bus) and you who succeed in installing a NVMe/PCIe 3X capable device, it's very confusing...
I still looking for clue in the Windows devices manager.
Could You be kind enough to publish a picture of your "work" (the WD Black connected to the AK1 Pro motherboard) in this thread, please ? It would help me make a decision...
