power supply

Post by Joroch »

Hi
can I get more detailed specifications on the power supply requirements of this unit?

The acceptable voltage range for the DC power input?

I'm interested in perhaps running it off of a 12v battery system if it's possible, directly without the use of an AC inverter to convert power to 120vac then back down to low voltage DC. The supplied adapter says it's 19vdc but is 12v, 14.4v or 16v acceptable?

thank you

I'm curious, what are you planning on doing with it?

Hi Joroch
Due to the high CPU power consumption, 12V will be a bit hard on the PC. You can turn on and run normally. But it may shut down automatically to protect when the CPU is running full power consumption. This is a harm to PC.
