Nice! Wouldn't hurt to pick up a 2242 NVMe drive, if you want to play with that as well! I prefer doing my alternate OS testing on different storage, so I can return back to the original image drive without issues. I tried Ubuntu, no issues as expected. Next is pfsense. And who knows what else!

I may do that after fiddling with it for a month or so, just to see how well it runs with its stock storage.

What did you end up getting or using for an NVMe drive? I've been searching on Amazon, and it's a bit tricky trusting what's listed 2242 NVMe drives. About the only one I can find that I fully trust is actually NVMe is the Sabrent Rocket.

I actually tried a few drives. When I first got the T8pro, I had no idea how tiny it actually is, so I pulled the motherboard out and put a full-sized 2280 NVMe drive into it, to see if it would recognise it. That was a Silicon Power 256GB drive (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZGK3K4V) that I used in my AK1pro. That worked just fine, so I ordered a SK Hynix 2242 drive (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09V1SPXK1) and tested it as well, and it also worked. I'm sure some of the higher-end name brands will work as well. The ones I've used are PCIe Gen3 x4, so I can't say for differences with the Gen4 ones out there.

I'll include a picture to show just how small it is in comparison to the m.2 drive pulled from my AK1pro.

dragonpoo,

It's tiny, that's for sure. Have you run any kind of speed tests on the original drive and the SK Hynix NVMe to see how much of a difference there is? I see someone on Amazon ran a CyrstalDiskMark test on the SK Hynix and it hit about 900Mbps read and 700Mbps write, which is assuredly higher than what the stock m.2 drive is capable of.

Thanks for the info.

Some models do not need to be enabled in the bios setting; directly enter the system setting operation, and then use the tool to wake up, refer to the steps:
