Random PC Standby ! (BUG or bad BIOS ? )

- Upgraded AMR5 System: 2x Kingston 32GB RAM Modules PC 3200, 2x NVMe Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB Drives
- forced GPU Memory 16GB (Bios)
- OS WIN 11

System get randomly to standby, even if i'm working on it too, Screens off..USB Power Down, but RGB Lights on. Power Switch dosn't work.

I changed the ACPI settings in bios and also in windows, but nothing worked, randomly off again....

The only way I found to keep 'awake' the system was to set the bios dynamically via RTC with value 1.

Could it be from the change in GPU memory? I'm not very tech savvy with that kind of thing, so I don't know if doing so could cause that type of problem.

Is the system set to ever go on Standby? I typically turn off any standby modes for my systems, so I haven't seen something like this.

- step down the video-memory to default (512 mb) -> randomly shutdown/sleepness again
- setup win11 without standby -> randomly shutdown /sleepness again
- fresh install of Windows 11 -> randomly shutdown /sleepness again
- connectet wireless mouse with wired keypoard -> randomly shutdown /sleepness again

now Test: Hardware-Reset Bios with Button.... System now longer life without sleepness

Good thinking. Hopefully the system now continues working as it should.

Funny enough, I've had my AMR5 for about five months and never realized it had a CMOS reset hole on the front. 😁

...fails again

i think it's overheating...hardware shuts down.

I took off the side panel, the computer has been running for over 3 hours.
Systemdrive up to 80C / Gamemode.
I've ordered heatsinks for the NVMe drives...we'll see.

Super kleiner Bulle :-)

The Mini-PC does not handle 2x 32GB RAM, at least not without undocumented lower settings in the BIOS.
I replaced the RAM with 2x Crucial RAM 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22.
It's working now.
Now have fun with the little one.

The NVM'e Drives from Samsung both continue to run in parallel.

It wasn't the heat that made my computer freeze, but the RAM, which is 'not' really supported in this size.
Super little bull. :-)
Translated using Google Translate. My apologies if anything was mistranslated.

Great info! 👍 Hopefully the tech guys will be able to use it to help figure out a way to make the AMR5 better and/or more easily utilize 64GB of RAM, such as the kind you tried.

Glad it's back up and running normally.

Glad you fixed your PC. i have relayed your words to the developers. They will purchase 2 32GB memory sticks for testing. I will post the test results as soon as I have them.
Thank you for your feedback, it's a great help to us.
