Though I can't say for sure, as far as I know, the only way to completely disable it at this point is to unplug the lighting cables inside.

The software can disable the lights, but the setting doesn't hold if the unit is shutdown or restarted, unfortunately.

Hopefully the admin will have some good news soon.

I just noticed, as I was playing with the RBG control file, that it shows up in Virus Total as having a couple malicious hits. I'm not going to say it's unsafe to use, but it does make me hope a new version comes out that doesn't get any bad hits.

I'm almost glad I didn't bother to download and reinstall it after upgrading the NVMe in mine and reinstalling Windows.

The lights cannot be turned off permanently, and we are communicating with the solution provider.

As far as I know, there is no RGB control software for Linux. It may be that your only option is to physically disconnect the plugs on the inside of the unit. You can actually see them when you remove the door. They're on the lower left, with LED printed on the board next to each one. However, it would be very difficult to pull the two plugs out without disassembling the unit, as the space is just too tight.

A pic from when I had mine disassembled a number of months back...

Thank you for the tip. I will do it like this then. Still I would preffer an API call we can use in all OS.

Someone should program a file that would be put into startup folder to turn off the RGB as soon as windows boots. Right now I have the RGB software in my "startup" folder, but I have to manually turn it off, which does save a few clicks, but its not fully automatic.
