2.Run the “01_Plus10_afuFlashx64.bat”file as administrator privileges.

3.The update will automatically.
This process is very simple and is the best method we have found. If you encounter problems during installation, you can take a picture and give us an analysis, which will better solve your problem.
Actually I am on Linux System so I can't run .bat or .exe.
Will work if I edit FEC64.NSH like this:

or will brick the PC stick?

I have six units of W5 Pro Pocket PC and I notice that five of them have BIOS version 2.17.1249 and one has version 2.18.1263.
The Pocket PCs with 2.17.1249 does NOT protect the boot selection (F7 key) with admin password. Additionally the blue led and cooler still turned ON after a Linux shutdown/halt (needs to hold the button for 5 seconds to turnoff).
The Pocket PC with 2.18.1263 does not have the problems above and my application runs with a much better performance.
I updated the BIOS following admin instructions but the version still 2.17.1249 and the problems persist.

Is there a BIOS update to 2.18.1263 version?

Is this one suitable for T5 as well? Or is it intended to T8 only?

Hello, it can be applied to T5. I hope you have a pleasant experience. It should be noted that flashing this BIOS may lose the ACEPC boot logo.

Is it possible to update the BIOS and have it set the "Restore AC Power Loss" option to default to "Enabled"?
