AK1 Replacement Fan

Good day all,

Am looking for a replacement fan for my AK1 but I need to buy it off of amazon.com.

Please share a link to the correct fan on amazon.com?

Will I need some thermal paste too? If so are there any on amazon.com that are recommended?

Sorry for persisting with amazon, it is just that I have credit there for this.

Hi,

any 40x40x10mm fan with 5V will do, in any way you need to use the plug from the old fan to make it fit onto the mainboard plug. So you'll have to cut off the plug from both fans (old & new) and attach the plug from the old fan to the new fan.

If you want a premium fan, Noctua is very well recommended here.

Furthermore when you take off the cooling unit from the mainboard, you also need to remove the old cooling paste and put new cooling paste between the CPU and the cooling unit. Arctic MX-4 Thermal Compound Paste will do a good job for example.
