How to fix 2.5 SATA (SSD) & M SATA (SSD) in AK1 MINI PC
01:26-02:26 Install 2.5 SATA hard drive for AK1
02:17-05:05 Install MSATA hard disk for AK1
What is a 2.5 inch SSD
A 2.5-inch internal solid state drive, or SSD, is superior in just about every way to a 2.5-inch internal hard disk drive, or HDD. The SSD requires less power, generates less heat and is quieter, faster, more reliable and more durable. It's also much more expensive.
What is MSATA ssd hard drive
mSATA is a small form factor flash storage device which is used like a hard disk drive in a host computer system. ... Both the SATA-IO Group and JEDEC define and publish standards for the mSATA form factor. The mSATA SSD drive is relatively small at 50.8mm x 29.85mm and delivers a lot of capacity in this small footprint

Hello,
I'd like to install a 256 Gb MSata in the AK1, is it possible?
An extra-topic question is if there are any Bios update (sorry for posting here the second question...).
Thank you for your support

Of course. If you do not encounter any problems during use, you do not need to flash any BIOS.

Thank you for your reply.
I was asking this, because I've seen some post where the MSata is limited to only 128 Gb... and it seems an AK1 limitation.
If you confirm I can proceed, I'll do this update.
Thank you for your check, again!

We set its maximum limit as 2TB, and it will affect the stability if it is too big, so you don't need to worry about it for now.

OK, so if I've well understood on the AK1 It's possible to install :
- MSATA up to 2 TB
and
- SATA 2,5" up to 2 TB
Is it right ?

I have installed both of these. Now my ACEPC only boots to Bios. The emcc is not listed, so I can't get to Windows. How do I get to Windows so that I can clone the M.2 and the emcc?

If you don’t switch to the correct startup item, press the Delete key to enter the BIOS. After booting, press the DEL key and hold. After entering the BIOS, switch to the "BOOT" tab, and set the first startup item of "Boot Option #1" to "windows boot manager" "then press F4 to save and exit.
