Re: TPM support - Windows 11

Beware that Microsoft just declared that the TPM bypass tricks that's currently work on W11 preview will not work on finale version. Wait and see. I'm not surprised that Microsoft would take that route. Their whole reason for requiring TPM and SecureBoot is to present themselves as security-focused...

Re: W5 Pro will not power up

Did anything else change from the last time it powered on? Was it working one day and literally didn't work the next, or was it out of use for a while? I don't have a W5 Pro, but checking its details, it seems to have a unique power adapter/port, so I don't know if you have a spare one you can test ...

Re: No wired ethernet

So @sdd, you're saying you got debian working with no driver issues? That's good to know!

Re: Slow Ethernet Speeds

Thanks for checking that, at least we can assume the settings are correct. I'm curious, how have you been testing the speed?

Re: Slow Ethernet Speeds

@rwbainc, Something else to try, go into your Device Adapter settings and manually configure the connection to be 1GB, instead of auto negotiate. If you're not sure how to do this, go to the Device Manager and find your NIC under Network Adapters. Open the properties and go to the Advanced tab, and ...

Re: Mini PC, ACEPC CK2 Intel Core i5-7200U Windows 10 Pro Desktop Computer, 8GB RAM+128GB M. 2 NVME SSD, VGA + HDMI + Mi

I suspect Amazon is trying to give you extremely generic "help" by suggesting a BIOS update. I'm not sure if one is available for the CK2, as searching the forum didn't help much. Can you explain more about what you do at the time it freezes, and just how it freezes? Can you make sure it's...

Re: ACEPC AK1 for Windows Server Test

@catch11x2, All joking aside, lets get some information about how you set this up. INACCESIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE usually refers to a misconfiguration of your boot device, more normally seen on UEFI systems when the bios setting to select the boot drive doesn't match the BCD setting for where to boot from....

At first I was going to call you old, and then I realised I remember when Windows 95 hit as well. We've come a long way. :D

Re: ACEPC AK1 for Windows Server Test

I get witt's comment, but obviously catch11x2 is aware that Server isn't the official OS for the device. However, that shouldn't affect its ability to boot. I personally haven't tried installing Windows Server on mine, but suspect you'll need to check the boot setting in the BIOS. Did you wipe the d...
