How can I install the screen control software for the S1?

I had reported a problem with Remote Desktop to the S1 lacking options for shut down but up until received no response. So, I decided to simply perform a clean install of Windows. That did indeed resolve the issue, but now I have a problem with the screen control software. First, there is no install...

Another S1 issue - Shutdown not available via a Remote Desktop connection

If someone else who has an S1 could double-check to see if they have this same issue I would appreciate it. The issue is that with the factory installation of Windows 11 on the S1, I am not seeing an options on Start to Sleep, Shut down, or Restart the system when connected via Remote Desktop. Here ...

Re: Has Anyone Managed to Run Their Mini PC From a Power Bank?

Something else to look for: I am not certain about the AM06 in particular, but several of the Mini PCs actually use 12V, not 19V. 12V is not a common voltage that many USC-C adapters or power banks will negotiate. For example, I have about 15 different models of power banks and USB-C chargers and on...

Minor bug in the S1 screen customization utility

When the screen customization utility is run, even when running in the background,it causes a single pixel to be displayed in the upper left of my monitor. Here is a sample of what this looks like:

Re: As previously reported, Defender believes that the LED control program is infected

Defender can be awkward at times. They release new virus definition updates multiple times every day so it may have been just one or a few definition updates that flagged it. Maybe in the morning I'll remove the exception and see what happens. I have a couple of my own programs that I have written t...

As previously reported, Defender believes that the LED control program is infected

Just received my S1 today. Sure enough, as another user posted here, Windows Defender quarantines the LED control program as having a trojan and flags the threat as severe. To resolve, you can set an exception for the file C:\Windows\OEM\CYX_TftTool\LEDControl.exe . If Defender has already quarantin...

Re: Is the WiFi adapter accessible / replaceable in the S1?

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but it's just nice when built into the system. I tried several such USB adapters, never had a problem with previous generation WiFi adapters but every one of the WiFi 6 adapters I tried were horrific. After research it turned out that this was a result of a fundamentally fla...

Re: Is the WiFi adapter accessible / replaceable in the S1?

I appreciate the response. That's a little bit of a shame as I'm purely WiFi 6e at home, getting ready to start moving to WiFi 7 (draft) within the next month or two, but at least now I know.

Thanks again!

Is the WiFi adapter accessible / replaceable in the S1?

Placed an order for one of these today, expecting delivery tomorrow (Wednesday). In the meantime, just out of curiosity, is the WiFi adapter readily accessible in this unit? From the pictures I have seen so far this does not appear to be the case, but still curious to know.

Re: Has Anyone Managed to Run Their Mini PC From a Power Bank?

20V is not the problem. That is close enough to 19V that it will work just fine. The problem is this: Most power banks don't have a setup amount of current that they can supply to any one given port. They can change the amount of power that is distributed between the various outputs. Let's use an ex...
