Re: S1 LED control program (20231102) released

I have some more results... I did a clean install and added the VC redistributable and screen control software. It runs fine manually. It's when I introduce my idea of stating it with task scheduler that things go bad. Yes, that makes it start automatically, but apparently that is where I ended my t...

Re: S1 LED control program (20231102) released

Not good. I am now having major problems with it. I was trying to help someone with an issue earlier today and in the process I re-imported all the original drivers back to the system. That's the only thing I can think of causing the issues I am now seeing. Basically whether I select either a defaul...

Re: S1 LED control program (20231102) released

Gabe, I do indeed have the default screens working. As for the custom screens, I did not try to bring in another image yet. I will try that when I'm back in front of that system. I had only tried the backgrounds that were provided with the program so far. Here is what I did: I first installed the Vi...

Re: S1 Bluetooth Problems

More research, more possibilities... First, the link that you posted at the outset - I noticed it referenced the 8852BE (note the BE, NOT CE). So, are you SURE you have a valid driver? Next, I went to the Microsoft Update Catalog. I see drivers for the 8852CE but I am not clear on whether this one d...

Re: S1 Bluetooth Problems

I noted earlier that I had exported all my drivers prior to installing 23H2. So, I just now restored all of those drivers and it's definitely very different than the Realtek drivers that I downloaded. The Bluetooth adapter is identified as "Generic" whereas with the actual Realtek driver i...

Re: S1 Bluetooth Problems

On my system the Bluetooth device did not specify a particular model, but the WiFi adapter was identified in Device Manager as the 8821CE. Since Bluetooth and WiFi are the same physical module, that would also be the Bluetooth model. Also, note that 23H2 will make zero difference on drivers. I may g...

Re: S1 Bluetooth Problems

Okay, I figured it out:

The model with the 512GB SSD has WiFi 5 (on Amazon), the model with the 1TB SSD also upgrades the WiFi to WiFi 6.

On the Acemagic web site, both models list WiFi 6.

Re: S1 Bluetooth Problems

Well, what do you know. It does say that (now). I got my unit only a few days ago and it did not have WiFi 6. I guess that maybe they upgraded the specs. That's rather a bummer because I run WiFi 6e here. Looking at the Amazon page where I ordered it it says this: 【Faster WiFi 5 Network & Dual G...

Re: S1 LED control program (20231102) released

Gabe, just wanted to let you know that I have had great success with the new software. I did a clean install of 22H3 and have the new screen control and LED software running on it. The LED software runs flawlessly. The screen control software runs <almost> perfectly. There are still some rough edges...

Re: S1 Bluetooth Problems

I did some further research - the 8852BE should NOT be the driver to use. That is a WiFi 6 adapter, which the S1 is not equipped with. So, definitely try the link that I provided. I suspect that you will have much better results :-)
