Re: J4125/6GB/120GB

Guess I'll have to agree with the admin 1.4Tb of data is ALOT of data which would require another SSD/Hard drive be installed. These units do not ship with extra storage included, you have to add it yourself. If you have a unit with 1.4Tb of storage and it has anything at all on it, then the unit is...

Re: PC hitting 82C when doing simple google chrome browsing?

Idle at 65? Don't know that is the norm, but on all mine (j4125's/8g ram), I changed the thermal compound on the CPU coolers to Noctua NT-H1 and reseated them all. I have seen idle as low as 30c, average is around 42c at idle. Ramp up average was in the low 70c range. That's a bit warm, but not hot ...

Re: Aptio setup utility

I guess another scenario might be that the eMMC drive isn't being detected. If you are installing windows 10, you don't have to use a restore image, you can just use the media creation tool and write the windows 10 media to a usb stick and install that way. The only real advantage of using a restore...

Re: Aptio setup utility

What that is, is the Network Pixie (PXE) boot screen. Guessing you have your bios set to PXE boot and no other drives/devices are selected, so what it's doing, is trying to boot from the network. Are you attempting to install it with something like Serva or other network software?

Re: Where can I download the GK2 BIOS?

No, I just need the stock one. I don't plan on doing any major modifications to it, just a logo swap for an arcade cab, but I would like to examine it for further information. Will also need to know which flash utility to use.

Re: Where can I download the GK2 BIOS?

Preventing others from examining the BIOS and modifying it is just wrong. Many manufacturers rely on the help of end users to work out bugs and report bugs. Clearly anybody who knows how to modify microcode is not concerned about messing something up. Modifying a BIOS will of course void any warrant...

Re: Where can I download the GK2 BIOS?

Not possible? Sorry, not buying it. I have modified many BIOS' on many different PC. Haven't ran into any yet where I couldn't modify the microcode. These mini PC are all based around the same design with the same BIOS from different manufacturers who simply stick their own logo into the microcode. ...

Re: Super user---free evaluation activity

I'd maybe be interested in trying newer products, kind of hoping to see some Ryzen offerings. I have my own YouTube channel (which I would be more then happy to do some ACEPC promos on), and I am also an Amazon Vine reviewer. In addition I have a BA in Information Technology and I have owned my own ...
