Re: Ethernet GKV3 Problem

Have you tried more than the original cable (that you said never worked) and this current one (that has issues)? Can you try them in some other system, to make sure they are valid? What does it plug into? I'd check into the hardware first, trying a cable you know works. There's a few settings you ca...

Re: acepc J4125 linux WIFI driver - info -

It would help to know what model you have. As far as I know, AcePC does not offer official Linux support for its devices, so it'll be up to you to get a proper driver for the device. If you can help identify what device you have, perhaps someone can tell you what wifi adapter you'll need to find a d...

Re: ACEPC T6 wifi doesn't work after reboot

Can you provide more information about the problem? Are you ever able to get it to work? Does it not connect, or does it not even show any wifi connections? The way your post is worded, it sounds like it eventually works again until the next boot.

Re: USB 3 hub

Are there any specific requirements you have for a USB hub? I've used a dozen or more over the years, and honestly, most of them are decent enough that I'd get them again if necessary. I currently have a 4-port WAVLINK hub I got off NewEgg, that has power buttons for each port so I can turn them on ...

Re: New aacepc will not recognize external or internal hard drive

Indeed, please let us know what model you have.

In addition, check the Disk Management and see what shows up there (screenshots would be great).

Also, run an Admin command prompt, open Diskpart, and run:
List Disk
List Volume
...and provide the output from those. :)

Re: TPM support - Windows 11

Beware that Microsoft just declared that the TPM bypass tricks that's currently work on W11 preview will not work on finale version. Wait and see. I'm not surprised that Microsoft would take that route. Their whole reason for requiring TPM and SecureBoot is to present themselves as security-focused...

Re: W5 Pro will not power up

Did anything else change from the last time it powered on? Was it working one day and literally didn't work the next, or was it out of use for a while? I don't have a W5 Pro, but checking its details, it seems to have a unique power adapter/port, so I don't know if you have a spare one you can test ...

Thanks for checking that, at least we can assume the settings are correct. I'm curious, how have you been testing the speed?

Re: Slow Ethernet Speeds

@rwbainc, Something else to try, go into your Device Adapter settings and manually configure the connection to be 1GB, instead of auto negotiate. If you're not sure how to do this, go to the Device Manager and find your NIC under Network Adapters. Open the properties and go to the Advanced tab, and ...
