Re: AK3V / J3455 - Was working fine, then Wifi stopped working

Yes, I was not aware they were applications, as most driver packs here do not contain applications.

The only thing I can suggest is a clean install of Windows.

Re: AK3V / J3455 - Was working fine, then Wifi stopped working

There's no need to get snippy about it. I don't have an AK3, so I'm not familiar with the drivers in this pack. The drivers available for most models on this site, including all I own, are not applications and are instead installed via the Device Manager. Your other options are again, Driver Booster...

Re: AK3V / J3455 - Was working fine, then Wifi stopped working

Are you trying to install/update the driver from within the Device Manager? If not, try that. I'm on a Mac right now, so I can't give exact step by step instructions, but I believe you right click on the device in question, then select Update Driver, then choose "Browse my computer for drivers&...

So that BIOS update was posted back in 2022, and the version Abygae referenced is 2023. Now I wonder if there is indeed a later version available. (also, think it'd be a good idea to move this thread to the AMR5 area?) It's a different model than what I have too. Mine is the R5 5600U version. Edit:...

Gabe, I was looking in the AMR5 forum area but can't find it - wasn't there a BIOS update for the AMR5 model because the front dial wasn't actually working as expected? I'd always wondered if I should install that on my own system. Good memory. I had forgotten all about that. It was here . I had a ...

Yes, they're compatible. They're for the J3455 version of the AK3 as well.

No. The RAM is soldered to the system board. It's not replaceable.

Re: AK3V / J3455 - Was working fine, then Wifi stopped working

You can try reinstalling the WiFi driver. The drivers for the J3455 AK1/AK3 are here... https://drive.google.com/file/d/19I23tnZzdZBLV2GcaO_B315Yy4lcvc3u/view They're older, but they should still work, and they'll update via Windows Update if necessary. You can also try Driver Booster . If none of t...

If you can still get into the BIOS, you should be able to reset everything to default values. The F Key for doing so should be on the right side of the main BIOS screen. Do that, then Save and Exit the BIOS and see if that gets everything working again.

I saw a post from them on Facebook about that unit yesterday. It's unique looking, that's for sure!
