Re: AM07 "cannot find a fixed internal DISK"

RedLimey, good job on troubleshooting. It's frustrating when a drive dies; and they all will, eventually. I've found that if an m.2 slot can handle NVMe, it can also handle a SATA drive. However, NVMe are generally faster, and often less expensive, so it's usually better to go with that type of driv...

Re: nipogi ak1 plus n100 keeps crashing

I use Linux with Proxmox. I'm affected also from this kind of crash. Kernel panic will be on screen if this happens. At the moment i try to find out why this happens. But not sure. At Proxmox Forum there some guys with other intel system have the same issue. I mean this is a kernel driver thing but...

Re: AMD Ryzen Warranty not honored?

I’m curious how this is going. The same thing happened to my son’s computer just a few days ago. I have also used the computer for things that were far easier to do on the desktop. A lot of it is legal or financial related and there is so much sensitive info on that drive (I’m nearly certain that I...

Re: Install Linux onto AX15

I would suggest you start out with a Live USB version of whichever Linux you prefer. There are many options, including Fedora, Ubuntu, and others based off of them. Pop!_OS and Linux Mint are two variations of Ubuntu which I find very user friendly. Most modern distros offer a live download which yo...

Re: Pci Express Root Port Driver

Can you provide more information on what you have tried and what error you get? The screenshot shows the device, but not the problem. Check the Windows system logs, driver details, etc.

Re: Pci Express Root Port Driver

Hi Daoud, what error appears for each of those devices? Is it failing to start? Failing to detect the correct driver? What troubleshooting have you tried, like uninstalling the device and rebooting? Barry recently published updated drivers for the AM08Pro, so check here and see if you can update the...

Re: Linux install on a W8 Pro...

I have to admit, that's funny that it worked fine. I had an older Dell laptop that did that: didn't work for months, then worked just fine when I turned it on. Although it died again... once hardware seems unstable, it's hard to trust it. So I hope you figure out what to do with that. :)

Re: Linux install on a W8 Pro...

One of these days, I hope to document how to install ChromeOS on a mini PC. I can see value in figuring this out for older systems as you mentioned.

Re: Keyboard problem with Linux distro

A google search tells me lsmod should help. Sadly, I'm not as familiar troubleshooting Linux issues as I am with Windows, so I'm just using similar troubleshooting methods.
