Re: Linux drivers needed

Can you try running the commands lspci and lsusb in the terminal ? One of these should identify the wifi chipset.

Re: Bluetooth connec!!tion are weak

Barry, do you know if this unit has the option in device manager to force it to run at 5ghz? I know some wireless adapters do, but I'm not sure which one is included on this unit.

They might be able to "force" the unit to run at 5ghz without having to. Change the entire network.

Re: Bluetooth connec!!tion are weak

Can you try turning off wifi and seeing if the issues persist? the 2.4ghz band can cause massive issues with Bluetooth devices, even on "higher end" devices (my work Macbook has this issue) If quality improves with Wifi off. you will want to force your PC to connect to the 5ghz network if ...

Re: USB issues

Have you tried completely removing all cables (including power) from the mini PC, press the power button a few times wait about 2 min, then plug it back in? Sometimes a power surge can happen on the USB port knocking them out until this is done. (I had a pc as a kid where I had to do this once every...

Printers are a Pain in the butt! I will assume the tech tried the following steps, but if they haven't make sure to give it a shot! 1. Reboot printer and PC. *Make sure to reboot not shutdown the PC 2. If you have any jobs in the print queue, try clearing them out. If there are any stuck, Open the s...

Re: Hardware Acceleration Ubuntu...

@brandoman. I'm not a Linux or Ubuntu expert in any way, so my knowledge level is low. I've got a stable ethernet situation right now by going to 20.04 then upgrading to 22.04 - so I will leave that for now until I learn a little more. Re the HW Acceleration issue : My Settings/About says this for ...

It does not need lot of storage because it will be connected to a NAS. Thank you for any input. Regards Tobias How far are you away from the ...

Re: Router brand survey

Currently using a TPlink, I find they are generally really stable after a few firmware updates and I can pull almost a gigabit over wifi which I am very happy with.

I have also had decent luck with Asus routers as well! They are super customizable with Merlin's firmware.

Re: How to solve the frequent black screen of the computer

Pro tip we ran into. If you pick up a Intel based unit make sure your driver version starts with 31, if it is older than you need to tell windows to "roll" back to the correct ones. If you update it windows will randomly keep going back to the incorrect version Steps: right click the start...

AD08 looks interesting as I would like to see how the big and little cores are handled. 12th gen is a really interesting beast in my opinion.
