It's a Windows install tailored for this system (with drivers). It's not a recovery disk.

Something for internal debugging would be my guess as well, especially because of where it is.

You need to get the driver from HP. Google HP M27. The page for the HP M27 comes up, and you can get the software from that page.

I agree that these units should last longer, and they normally do, but cutting the power to a running unit on a daily basis is not at all ideal, and it may very well have contributed to its shorter than normal life span. Support only provides a BIOS on a need by need basis, and only for units this particular company sells/supports. They verify the issue and whether a BIOS flash will solve the problem. If the unit came with Windows 11 Home and you're trying to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro, the only way you can do so is using a Windows 11 Pro Product Key. The Product Key the unit came with is embedded in the BIOS, so W11 will always Activate as Home unless you change the Product Key.
